2009.

This year has been lovely, thus far.
My good mood has continued for an entire month; this is rare for me.
I'm hoping for many more months of this.

Obama became our president last week.  This has overjoyed me to no extent!
There is so much hope for our country now.  In his first days, he told of his plan to shut down Guantanamo, which was a mistake from when it's doors were opened.
As a future teacher, I feel ecstatic to know that children who live in urban areas and in poverty now have a hero- a black man who was able to become the most powerful man in our country, if not in our world.  This is just inexplainable.  This means that those children have something to aim for.

YES WE CAN!
